There is nothing more stupid in this world than being a stupid believer. A lot of people believe that one day they would work hard and reach the heights of their life, some people believe that one day their lives will change and there are some believers who think that the dead and they can live together happily ever after. By dead i mean a dead relationship, a dead dream etc. 

Blind stupids are those who deny living in reality even with eyes to see what’s happening around them. They live in a house of lies that protect them from harm and by harm i mean truth. You see they have a choice to fight with their current situation that very situation which has been following them since a long time. Instead they make allies with lies and screw up in reality.

Living in a house like that is like facing tremors of reality more often than usual people do. If reality is a straight path in a desert than your dead dumb house of lies serves as a tree standing right in the middle of the freaking path. Every time reality chose to cross your lies you expand it by nth times. Living with lies is a blessing but what happens when one of the lies starts questioning you. Just to check where did started it from. 

Confusing is it? Well it has to be. The house of lies is confusing.

Think about a relationship where the love was one sided. The person in love never wants to believe that the significant other loves someone or something else. Even after getting cold vibes from them the believer wishes for a lie. “I wish and i believe that he will one day love me and we will be together” see that is what comes in between them and reality. People living in the house of lies tend to hurt themselves more than they get hurt by their beloved’s actions. The house of lies has a fragrance of dreams and the air is mixed with expectation and false optimism.

The blind stupids are afraid to face the problems inside them they prefer one lie to be told and believed over and over until every part of them starts rejecting the truth. In the war between lies and truth they live a life filled with chaos. Deny if it’s true, run away from the truth, believe in lie, build a new lie if the truth hurts. Live in the house of lies and fight for it as it is the only hope, as it is the only joy.

Perks of having a creative side in self. You create more than you can handle. There comes a time when you feel no joy in creating things which others can see, admire, criticise, recommend etc. Blessed are those who can keep their creativity to themselves, in their heart in their mind. Playing with reality is no creativity you can’t create what has already been created. When you play games with reality you need proper to real tools, weapons and mindset in order to win or even just to survive.

When was the last time you had a face off with reality? It was not long ago but you refuse to admit it because creative mind constantly argues with you. Again creative here is a metaphor to dream. When you dream of something or someone you give it your best deny every possibility that reality has other plans for you.

Dreams always ask maybe reality is not that harsh, face reality with dreams in your eyes maybe one day the cold and harsh reality will allow you to walk on your chosen path. Whereas reality says maybe if they quit dreaming stupid dreams and face what i have for them with pride and dignity they might learn the truth of life that for surviving you need dreams but for living you want realistic attitude.

Reality asks to me, what is in this maybe thing that dream offers each and every one? Why you and others fight so hard with it to me? It is a lie? I take a deep breath and reply “yes i know; i know that saying maybe after ever battle with you is a lie but it gives me joy, satisfaction and hope. Maybe you will lose the next time we meet; maybe you are not as harsh as you look. Maybe gives me strength to face you again, maybe protects the remains of my dream, maybe hurts me less that your truth. Maybe is the cave where i don’t need light to see as there is nothing to see just to feel. Feel the lies it is so satisfying to deny your existence reality.

Reality looks into my eyes “stop chasing fairy tales, create them but don’t be a part of it, don’t play a role in it.” May be has made you blind if you walk on dream's path for too long you will end up walking in circles and then that will become your reality. Every day with same events, with same people, with the same you; the blind folded may be you.

Once in a while everyone makes stupid decisions in life; some make it once or twice in a lifetime whereas some make it a habit. The core of making stupid decisions in life lies with the person’s attitude of handling situations and learning from it. Either you learn to improve or you push those decisions and plan to make some real dumb ass decisions which will lead you to a path filled with glorious stupid decisions. Speaking of decisions and learning when one sees a fire he/she is attracted to it out of innocence they approach it and get burned.

Lesson no. 1 if it attracts you don’t act innocent, pretend you know it, admire its attractive nature and enjoy the power.

Lesson no. 2 if you get burned turn on the water, not on your burned part but on the fire.

Hope you have realised that fire is a metaphor of expectation. Expectation burns more than real fire. Like when young girls see a very handsome (in some case not so handsome) man near them and immediately hormones take over their minds they start caring, wanting, dreaming about that man just like a monkey during mating season. All you want is action.

Now here again we see the rise of stupidity the moment we see someone attractive we want them in our life without spending a quality time in thinking about the upcoming situations. Before even the brain can say “wait let’s talk” heart makes the moves by accepting their pity as a feeling and then converting every other gesture into love. Once a drunken script writer wrote “pity isn’t a feeling” they pity you because it provides them fun, makes them superior, differentiate them from you.

So now we know that when expectation meets pity the love of stupid blooms.

Lesson no. 3. If it hurts at the first place stay away from it, don’t present another part to get hurt.

Getting hurt by pity and expectation is neither a prize to collect nor to display and certainly must have no place in the book memories because everyone know that the ink to write memories comes from emotions.

So far we have expectation from others, pity mistaken as a feeling, getting hurt by own expectations and collecting all of these as a memory under the category of stupidity that can cost one a happy life.

The question is when did it become so important to reach others in order to fulfil our own expectations? Why do we start having expectation from others but can’t even have one for ourselves? What is there in expectation that everyone craves for it?

"Religion travels with a speed of light"

Just finished reading Dan Brown's origin and I can realize why some readers felt disappointed with Dan's new way of thinking specially the merging of science with symbols.

I came across a dialogue from the film named avatar "it is hard to fill a cup which is already filled" true in many ways.. Dan browns initial works dealt with religion, symbols,codes that difine religious patterns and a mind boggling thriller chase in search of finding an answer related to religion, symbol etc.

Some of his works like da Vinci code and Angel and demons are packed with such things which had and have hooked readers to their books. After working on two books with same construction of writing readers adapted to a habbit of expecting the next book to have same construction. To their shock Dan Brown's 'inferno' dealt with two complex topics "population and ecology". How many times since the release of inferno have I heard that Dan's this work is "not up to the mark" " not worthy" "disappointed" ?
For those who had the privilege to read
eugine p odum's book on ecosystem and ecology would definetly nod and say that "science and ecology" are not everyone's cup of tea". Most of the time we deny about the daunting situation regarding rising population and it's dramatic effects on climate. It's there it will be there is a kind of attitude we hold.

When Dan Brown added these two elements along with symbols the way of reading changed. When one reads a book that awares him/her about their current ways of living it's becomes a hard pill to swallow.

Dan browns current book Origin is facing same situations readers wanted a piece of "old dan work' something like da Vinci code. As it's written on the cover page " from the best selling author of da Vinci code".

During my post graduation days my dissertation work consisted of the topic "impact of technology on formal communication" invigilator asked me why and when did humans became a part of technology?? My reply was simple "an e-mutation" lead to such evolution.

Where do we come from where are we going?? Is the question which has been asked through out the book. Being a three dimensional creature we cannot see past also can neither see future but can prepare for future hence the explanation presented in the book has somewhat satisfied me. We are living with the fifth dimensional being 'the technological being"  they have access to past and future  in form of folders and command.

Now for some readers who asked the reason why religion was dragged in all this. the reason I feel is simple "religion travels with the speed of light"  even in the remote places where education and technology have yet to reach religion is already present. People join hands in different ways to pray but never to educate or to remove myths. When did we became a part of religion?? Where did religion come from?? Where is it going??
There is something between religion and science, faith and fact. While religion works with faith science wants facts. Now here is the thing we believe and are afraid of what we can't see more than to what we can. Faith is a feeling it is inbuilt like those apps that comes handy with smart phones if one try to disable an inbuilt all the software sends message regarding disorder due to absence of that app. Same goes for faith in midst of difficulties faith hold us together.

Let's consider faith as a force like gravitational force it holds us to where we are where we belong, always with us. Faith travels beyond time beyond our known dimensions. Where as science is incomplete without fact. Facts argue with faith.

In origin the joining of faith and fact has been noted. True indeed religion and science are two most powerful structures yet they work in opposite direction. If only the two powers worked together religion could have helped in spreading of science and science could have stopped religion from spreading myths.
Last but not the least one have to shed generations of cultivated knowledge regarding both the mention structures. Then only one could accept the new way of thinking the joining of religion,science and  technology in a proper way for the betterment of human kind.

Listen to me. Can you see me? Can you hear me? Perhaps not because being a human you hear to what you see and reply to what you hear. Unlike humans I don’t have a definite shape, size or structure. Sometimes I am straight, sometimes round and sometimes too small to get counted. Even when I cry my voice is inaudible because you are to ignorant to hear anything other than noise. My world is a world of silence and my silence speaks a thousand words. I am a little candle.

When was the last time we both were together? Maybe two days ago on your birthday. I was there with you along with your friends in your joy among all the glittering lights of your world and still there was a need to light me up on your birthday cake. Why? To remind that you are getting old.

I saw you whispering a wish, heard you pleading to God to grant you the man of your dream and what was the last part of the wish that you will change to keep him happy. A breath of air and my gallant flame was gone. I wish you had guarded my flame, not only on the cake but within your heart too.

You were too small to remember, to realize that almighty has lighted a candle in your heart by the time you were born. Courage, strength, peace and wisdom are the key elements of that candle. As you grew the whispering in your heart increased the little candle that lightened your soul became weak. Now it flickers even with a breeze of sorrow. You are weak as you never guarded you thoughts.

The purpose of a candle’s life is to provide a ray of hope, to keep darkness away from ones path, to provide warmth. Then why don’t humans fulfill the purpose of their life.  Whenever you see a flickering flame guard it. Let no storm or even a breath of air blow its gallant flame. The little candle will walk with you guiding you, guarding you always reminding you who you are. One day the world will be lightened with numerous candles. The candle of hope, peace and humanity.

Friends it is said that cancer affects all of us, whether you are a daughter, mother, sister, friend, co-worker, patient or doctor but the question is how true is it? Well there is no denying in accepting the fact that it does affects one’s life. Normal life of a person gets disrupted when one comes to know that he/she is suffering from cancer. People are so scared of cancer that they forget to notice. The word Cancer has a can in it, which says:

• ·         Can defeat this disease.

• ·         Can prevent from being a cancer patient.

• ·         Can detect cancer at an early stage

And most important

• ·         Can-survive by battling against cancer.

  

   

Cancer is a highly misunderstood term. Most of us think cancer means death, cancer means losing loved ones and cancer means no cure. To debunk these myths World Cancer Day takes place every year on 4^th of February and it helps in raising awareness about cancer, it units the whole world in fight against cancer. On 4^th February 2015 world cancer day was celebrated under the tagline “Not beyond Us”.  Choosing to lead a healthy life, early detection, proper treatment are the positive and proactive approaches to the fight against cancer.

The most common question that oncologist face from cancer patients are “Am I going to die?” or “will I have a normal life after chemotherapy?” Well off course one can lead a normal life even after being treated with chemotherapy and as doctors they try their best to save every patient but people are so scared that they doubt their own capability to fight against this disease.

One should keep in mind ( specially the caregivers) that when you are dealing with a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy it’s  your love, support, caring nature and kindness that helps to keep them strong and encourages them to continue their fight against cancer. There are over one hundred different types of cancer which can affect different parts of our body. Some cancers can be cured whereas some cannot but that does not means cancer is a death sentence. If there is cancer then there are cancer survivors too and their successful fight with cancer and recovery shows their spirit to lead a healthy, normal and cancer free life.

Speaking of cancer survivors, cricketer Yuvraj Singh is one of those who not only fought bravely with this disease but is even motivating, inspiring and helping others to bat against this dreadful disease. His cancer initiative YOUWECAN was founded on 8^th July 2012 and since then YouWeCan has worked on its solo motive to spread as much as awareness about cancer.

 Among the various works YOUWECAN has done the first was in September 2012 when it in collaboration with Microsoft launched YOUWECAN app. Another major contribution was in states like Punjab where they have launched door to door cancer detection programs in areas like Firozpur and Bhatinda.

Almost two thirds of all cancer deaths are either caused due to lack of medical support or people being in denial. In India the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men are lungs, oral, lip, throat and neck  whereas women suffer more from breast , cervix and ovarian cancer. The rising toll caused by this disease is due to unhealthy eating habits, poor immune condition, genetic and rapid industrialization.

YOUWECAN with its future ventures is taking more and more initiatives to create awareness among those who live in utter denial. We wish Yuvraj Singh and YOUWECAN all the best.

 Lets know a little about cancer and then we an come to what YOUWECAN is..

CANCER..
 known medically as a malignant neoplasm, is a broad group of various diseases, all involving unregulated cell growth. In cancer, cells divide and grow uncontrollably, forming malignant tumors, and invade nearby parts of the body. The cancer may also spread to more distant parts of the body through the lymphatic system or bloodstream. Not all tumors are cancerous. Benign tumors do not grow uncontrollably, do not invade neighboring tissues, and do not spread throughout the body. There are over 200 different known cancers that afflict humans.
 When cancer begins it invariably produces no symptoms with signs and symptoms only appearing as the mass continues to grow or ulcerates. The findings that result depends on the type and location of the cancer. Few symptoms are specific, with many of them also frequently occurring in individuals who have other conditions. Cancer is the new "great imitator". Thus it is not uncommon for people diagnosed with cancer to have been treated for other diseases to which it was assumed their symptoms were due.

 YOUWECAN:
 YouWeCan is a foundation established by Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh meant to fight Cancer by spreading awareness about the fatal disease. Yuvraj Singh himself was diagnosed with Cancer and defeated the disease after a long treatment in the United States of America.

 Yuvraj Singh, who recently won his battle against cancer, on Saturday 7 JULY 2012, launched 'YouWeCan', an initiative dedicated to raise cancer-awareness.

India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has said that cancer survivors do not need pity and sympathy. After having successfully battled a rare germ cell cancer, the south-paw also encouraged others suffering from the diesase to fight back.

"Having experienced cancer personally, I can totally empathize with the pain and difficulties faced by a cancer patient and thus we have launched 'YouWeCan'. I feel extremely passionate and motivated about using this platform to appeal to everyone, to come forward for early detection, as I have myself benefited from it and it is key to saving your life from Cancer. I am determined to make a dent in the society and fight for controlling cancer but cannot achieve my objectives without your participation and support. I believe, together You and We CAN. And remember, if Yuvi Can, You Can," yuvraj singh said.

This is Yuvraj's new mission: to reach out to his “cancer family”. While recuperating, he has begun a new innings. Of being a role model. Of being an inspiration to many. Not many celebrities in India have shared their fight with cancer. Yuvraj is doing just that, to spread awareness and hope.

on 5th september 2012  YouWeCan' app initially for the Windows Phone was launched by Microsoft. When a user buys the app, he contributes one part of the price 565 (US$9.70) as a donation to the foundation.along with it YOUWECAN merchandice was also launched.

Apollo- YouWeCan Cancer Screening Initiative:

 on December 03, 2012 apollo Cancer Institues, an integral part of Apollp Hospitals Group joined hands with YOUWCAN, founded by Mr. Yuvraj Singh Foundation.The initiative was launched by Dr Rupali Basu, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata and Yuvraj Singh in presence of the India Cricket Team, eminent personalities of the city and media.

 During the launch, Dr Rupali Basu said, “We hope to take the initiative nation-wide and make a change in people’s lives in the battle of fighting cancer. We will create dedicated teams to conduct the screening camps at various locations.”

AIMS OF APOLLO YOUWECAN CANCER SCREENING INITIATIVE

 It aims to take the message of benefits of cancer screening so as to reduce the burden of cancer in the society by organizing ground activities for awareness and screening camps for masses in a structured manner. The initiative in its first phase would screen 100,000 people in six months to one year, starting from January 2013. The screening will be subsidized at Rs 300/- to Rs 500/- and will include basic blood markers and X-ray.

YOUWECAN: Apollo conducts free cervical cancer screenings

 Kolkata, Mar 18 Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals organized a free cervical cancer screening program, as part of the Apollo-YOUWECAN initiative. 

 Dr Jayanta Gupta, Senior Consultant & Head of Department- Obs& Gynaecology, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, said, "Cervical Cancer is among the most common forms of Cancer that affect Indian women. Every year approximately 1,35,000 women in India die out of Cervical Cancer and about 2.5 to 3 lakh new cases are registered annually. 

" However, Cervical Cancer is preventable primarily through awareness, education and screening and vaccination. Of these, screening is the most critical as it helps to detect abnormalities and thus undertake preventive measures. In India 1 woman dies every 7 minutes due to cervical cancer."

In a message sent by Yuvraj Singh, he said, "I feel very happy that Apollo-YOUWECAN initiative has taken a big leap towards cancer screening for women in large numbers. I urge all our women of eastern India to come forward and get themselves screened for cervical cancer, so that if detected early it can be cured."

Gurgaon, Feb 4: India's Yuvraj Singh had tears rolling down his cheeks as he recalled his struggles on battling cancer on the occasion of World Cancer Day on Monday.

yuvraj while explaining the struggle exactly a year ago after being diagnosed with a rare germ cell cancer in the left lung, couldn't control his tears as he could feel the pain of battling cancer. "Today is about survivorship. I didn't believe when I was first told that I have cancer. I thought how can a young person like me get cancer. I thought it could never happen to me. It took me a while to realise that I was diagnosed with cancer," an emotional Yuvraj said.

Overwhelmed by the support he received from the cricketing fraternity, fans and family, Yuvraj feels he got the much needed encouragement from his well-wishers and strength to fight Cancer.

 "I want to give back to the society. Many cancer patients die because their disease is not detected early. Also, there is a stigma attached to it. The need is to address those issues," he said.
